iFlipbook works without an account. Your drawings live on your device, and nothing leaves it unless you tap something that sends it — publishing to the gallery, asking the AI to draw, or writing to us. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't embed cross-app tracking.
What stays on your device
Your flipbooks, frames, drawings, palettes, and settings are stored in the app's own storage on your device. We have no copy of them. Deleting the app deletes them, so export anything you want to keep.

About the anonymous ID. When you first launch the app it generates a random identifier and stores it in the device keychain. It isn't your Apple Account, your name, or your device's advertising identifier, and it isn't linked to your identity. It exists so replies to your feedback come back to you, so gallery posts can be recognized as yours to delete, and so usage counts aren't double-counted. We do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.
The gallery is public
Anything you publish can be seen, watched, and remixed by anyone using the app, along with the title and display name you chose. Don't publish anything you wouldn't want public. You can delete your posts at any time — see below.
To keep the gallery usable, posts can be reported and creators can be blocked. Posts that receive enough reports are hidden from the feed automatically, and we review reports and remove content that breaks the rules. Reports store the reported post's ID, a reason, and the anonymous ID of the reporter.
What we never collect
- No account, name, email address, phone number, or date of birth
- No location, contacts, calendar, or photo library scanning
- No advertising identifier, and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs
- No tracking of you across other companies' apps or websites
Who processes data for us
- Apple — CloudKit stores gallery posts and usage counts; the App Store handles purchases.
- Cloudflare — runs the small proxy server that AI prompts and feedback messages pass through.
- Anthropic — generates AI drawings from your prompt. Prompts are sent for that purpose only.
These providers process data on our behalf. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.
How long things are kept
- Gallery posts — until you delete them.
- Feedback messages — kept while the conversation is useful, then removed.
- AI prompts — cached briefly (about a day) so repeating a request is fast, then discarded.
- Usage counts — aggregate daily counts, kept to understand which features people actually use.
Deleting what you've shared
- A single post — open it in the Gallery tab and delete it.
- Everything at once — Settings ▸ Delete My Gallery Data removes your posts, reactions, reports, and display name.
- Feedback messages — email us and we'll delete your thread.
- Everything on the device — deleting the app removes your flipbooks and the anonymous ID.
If you'd like us to confirm what's associated with your anonymous ID, or to erase it, write to us and we'll take care of it.
Children
iFlipbook is for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the gallery is public, younger users should have a parent or guardian decide whether publishing is appropriate. If you believe a child has shared personal information through the app, email us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we'll update this page and its effective date, and describe the change in the app's release notes.
